A future-focused leader is someone who is adept at navigating the complex and rapidly changing business landscape. They can envision a compelling future for their organisation and have the skills to execute a plan that brings that vision to life. Some of the key traits that make for a future-focused leader are:

  1. Visionary: A future-focused leader has a clear and compelling vision for the future of their organisation. They can see beyond the present challenges and envision a future that is both desirable and achievable.

  2. Strategic Thinker: A future-focused leader is adept at strategic thinking. They can identify the key trends and opportunities that will shape their industry and use that information to develop a plan that positions their organisation for success.

  3. Agility: A future-focused leader is agile and adaptable. They are able to pivot quickly in response to changing circumstances and are comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.

  4. Innovation: A future-focused leader is innovative and open-minded. They are willing to experiment with new ideas and technologies and are not afraid to take risks.

  5. Collaborative: A future-focused leader is collaborative and inclusive. They recognise that no one person has all the answers and are able to bring together diverse perspectives to solve complex problems.

  7. Learning mindset: A future-focused leader is always learning and growing. They seek out new knowledge and skills and are willing to challenge their assumptions and beliefs.

Overall, a future-focused leader has a deep understanding of the forces shaping their industry and the skills to lead their organisation through the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
